This covers everything in the repository except the three items named below — the code, the interface icons, and the rendered images of the application.

These are the author's own work, Copyright © Francesco Bonazzi, all rights reserved, and are not licensed under the GPL:
- the name PeakNav
- the PeakNav logo
- the application launcher icon —
ic_launcher.svg,ic_launcher.png, and the launcher resources underandroid/res/(mipmap-*/ic_launcher*,drawable/ic_launcher_debug.xml,values/ic_launcher_background.xml)
They may not be used or redistributed, in original or in modified form, without the prior written permission of the author.
This is a statement of what the license does not reach, not a condition added to it. The GPL licenses copyright in software and has never granted rights to a project's name or logo; GPLv3 says as much in section 7(e). The rights granted in the source code are unaffected: you may build, run, modify and redistribute it, and publish your own application made from it, under your own name and with your own launcher icon. A fork must supply one in any case — the application loads it at start-up and Android requires it in order to build.

Third-party code, data and media
Media and data supplied by others — the Liberation Fonts, the Mapsforge render-theme symbols and patterns, the GeoNames search index, and the map, terrain and imagery data — are not the author's to restrict and are governed by their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_LICENSES.md and reproduced on the app's own License page.
